Hi All,
In SRM 4.0 when you shop you can add items from 'Old PO's and templates', and when you do a search you can search for personal templates, public templates and favourites.
But how do you actually create these templates?? I have not seen any options where I can actually create them - is there special config/coding required?
Thanks,
Paula.
Paula,
Since SRM 3.0, we can not create private templates and item favorites anymore. Only public templates.
even if corresponding status still exist in SC search criteria...
For a RU SRM 5.0 customer upgrading from EBP 3.0, we asked SAP SRM Development to propose a solution to bring back private templates.
Consulting note 911241 was created for this (not yet translated).

Hi Paula,
To create template, you need to have the Purchasing Assistant or Purchaser role assigned, and use the extended form interface.
Once you have one of these roles assigned, you will have the "create template" menu displayed.
Hope this helps,
Kind regards,
Yann
