How to sale a material from a different sales area

hi

I have a material which have master data in 1000,10 and division is 01

I also have a customer which have master data in 1000,12,00

how to sale this material to this customer?

I'd like use common master data tech.

Hi

First Extend the material to Customer sales Area.. That means

Extend Material to Sales area--1000,12,00 in MM01

In MM01 give material number and industry and material type and check all organizational data and enter sales org and distribution channel of customer. and save the material..

In MM01---

Material number XXX

Industry XXX

Material Type XXX

Sales org---1000

Distribution Channel--12

After creating this raise a sales order with same material and customer

Just maintain the customer sales area in Sales Organization 1000, Distribution Channel 10 and division 01.

Hi there,

Does your 2 sales area have the same plant? If the plant is same, then extend the material to 1000 / 12 also. This is done in Sales: general plant data view & sales org data. This will make the material available to all the sales areas in the same plant.

But if SA 1000 / 10 has Plant A & SA 1000 / 12 has Plant B, then you have to create a stock transfer order.

As long as both your sales areas have the same plant, just extending the material master to the new sales area is enough. System will allow you to enter the order.

but How to extend? Create new view data on new channel?????

Can we use common master data technique?

So we needn't input new master data, I'd like to use common master data, can I???

Hi zhang,

If you want to use the common distribution channel then do this setting.

Go to following path IMG u2013 Sales and distribution u2013 Master Data u2013 Define common Distribution Channels

SOrg. Dchl Dch-conds Dch-cust/mt.

1000 10 12 12

Like this do the setting in the IMG u2013 Sales and distribution u2013 Master Data u2013 Define common Division

SOrg. Dv DivCon DivCus

1000 01 00 00

Try to do this kind of setting.

And create the document.

No, I still can not create order

I separately use 1000, 10,01 and 1000,12,00 as sales area of order, but system report same error:

Material XXXXX is not defined for sales org 1000 and channel 12 language DE

why?

BTW: I can ensure the new customizing is used when I create order

Hi,

Please go to MM02, select your material and select only your Basic Data 1,

once you enter into the details, at the left top cornor you will find a additional data tab,

click on the same, once you are in, there will be your material discription and language already maintained in EN,

so go to the second line, enter your DE in language bar, and enter your description, save,

Try out this procedure and if still the problem exit then post it over here.

If you want your communication language to be in english.

then please do this settings.

Go to the XD02 T.Code, give the information about the customer. then go to general data - Address tab.

below you will see a language field over there change it to EN, if its now EN.

Try this one also.

Hi there,

We dont extend the materials to new sales areas. TAke help from your MM resource & ask him to extend the material to the required SA.

I guess they do it by MM50.

I check customer data, I think the language is DE

so I create both DE and EN language desc for material, but the error is same

why?

Please check the language in the these fields also

Company code

Sales organization.

Plant

Have you maintained the language in 1000, 12 combination or not???

check 1000, 10 combination also wht language you have maintained in material as well as in customer master data.

If language is same all the places then it wont give any problem

Please try it out and keep it posting over here.
