Does anybody have documentation, or know the utility, about the field "Version Sequence" (Document type configuration at DC10 transaction)?

The system creates a new version whenever you upload a document after editing it locally or save it during online editing. A new version is also created whenever you change the documentu2019s properties.
In the Details dialog box for documents, you can find a list of all available versions with their date and time. The following functions are available:
Display contents of each version
Display user details for the person who created a version
Display properties of each version
Restore old versions
Delete old versions
To activate versioning, choose Settings ® Versioning in the Details dialog box for a folder, and click Enable Versioning.
A change status or delivered status of a document.
The document version is a part of the document key, which identifies the document. The document type controls version assignment in document management.
Example:
There are the following versions of a design drawing:
Version 1 - Drawing status in project phase 1
Version 2 - Drawing status in project phase 2
Version 3 - Status of a drawing that has been released for production
This list gives you an overview of which versions exist for document part of a specific document type. For example, all document versions for the document DOC-01-AA, document type DRW, document part 000 are displayed.
You can call the version lists in different processing situations:
Initial screen for the following functions:
Document Create
Document New version
Document Change
Document Display
While processing a document for example on the tab page Document data
This list displays all versions of the chosen document part with the following data:
Status
Change numbers
Description
Validity
From this version list, you can execute the following functions:
Edit the document
Print the version list
Choose the functions Extras Versions on one of the given screens.
You can also display this list by choosing Document Change or Document Display from the initial screen and entering the special character "*" in the Version field.

In my case, the document type is configured to don't generate revision level (parameter "Revision Levels" is disabled at DC10 transaction for all documents types).
Above an example of document type configurated:
