Hi sugandha

Actually Integration between SD and MM

To raise a Sales order Material is required .. it is created by MM guys

After order When we raise Delivery document automatic picking of plant and Storage Location defined by MM guys

In terms of availability Check MM guys will involve

In Creation of Third Party.. In that Process SD guys will raise a Purchase Requisition to MM guys and after PO and MIGO and MIRO done by MM guys.. Invoice Verification (MIRO) given by MM guys and after that we will raise invoice to customer.

In Stock addition also MM guys will involve.

Hi,

when u create an order MM people r creating the material then only u can rise the order.

once u can rise the sales order save the sales order , purchase requisition number was generated.

Next step in availability, PP people are doing that.

After that third party .

regards, sridhar

Dear Sugandgha,

Let us look at MM and SD integration with the scenario of a third party order process. This process uses a purchase order (which is sent to your vendor). Also invoice verification is used further along the process to check that the invoice you send to your customer is the same material and quantity as that which the vendor sends to you (but obviously shipped

directly to your customer).

The integration areas between SD and MM :-

1. When you create sales order in SD, all the details of the items are copied from Material master of MM.

2. MRP and availability check related data is also taken from MM although you control this data in SD also.

3. While you create inbound/outbound delivery with reference to a sales order, the shipping point determination takes place with the help of the loading group, plant data, shipping conditions etc. This also refers to Material Master.

4. The material which you are entering in a sales order must be extended to the sales area of your sales order/customer otherwise you cannot transact with this material.

I hope this will help you,

Regards,

Murali.

There are many such links between SD and MM.

Sales order is SD-MM integration as "Availability check" takes place and Requirement transfer is also sent from Sales order .This is also SD-MM integration.

During Delivery, for Picking , we go to the Warehouse which is a MM area. In PGI, value updation takes place in MM.

So all these are SD-MM integration.
