Hi Benake,

Enterprise Content Management is a concept and if I understand correctly SAP provides a set of tools to manage it.( Refer to wikipedia for a broad overview on EnterpriseContentManagement).

For example the SAP portal is a tool where your content is displayed. You can set up the SAP content servers to store and retrieve the content. You use the trex search functionality to search your content. In short it is a brief set of tools that SAP provides,

One thing to be weary of with SAP is ECM is also used for Engineering Change Management which is a module. ECM is a cross-application module that manages change in SAP. If you see a reference to an ECM module in SAP, it is more than likely referring to Engineering Change Management.
