PS in Steel Industry

Hi ,

I want to know how we can implement PS module in Steel Industry where the scenario is like client has its own mines from where extract the ore and then this is treated into a sponge iron and finally processed to hot rolled coils.

If anyone who has the exposure of such kind of scenario or if anyone who can give me an idea , will be a great help to me.

this would be covered by PP-PI

however if your plant was to be extended or modified or new plants to be built then PS could be used

also if you were managing a customer requirement for a steel order then you could trigger your production via PS

for this you can see sap help for details

generally the process will

create a project - your extension project

plan and budget - plan cost and materials for your project

get budget approved - can use IM for this

execute project - enter actual postings for materials, cost and also do scheduling, material purcahse orders, goods issues/ receipts etc

financial settlement - settle as required e.g. to AUC/ FXA

reporting will be across the project
