can we access SAP tables using SAP PI 7.1.

This is what Idoc and RFC are used for. They could internally access SAP Tables. PI 7.1 does not hold data in its own server but will help you to communicate to SAP systems using Idoc/RFC interface.

As Said there wud b std IDOCs r RFC.There wud no direct access to SAP Table form outer world which is not gud pratice as well.

Then No.. As these doesn't exist in PI 7.1
