SAP Permanent License

Hello SAP Experts,

We have installed ECC 6.0 IDES version. and now ABAP developers want to practice some enhancements or changes to SAP standard programs. when they are trying to do that, it is asking for the access key. We did not install a license and we are on temperory license. How to get a permanent license and what do we need for that apart from system information. And can ABAPers do enhancements to standard programs in IDES version? Can you please suggest

Hi,

Request the license from Market place and apply it via slicense and also apply the same using viual admin for Java

Hi,

1) you must log on to service.sap.com by using your userID and password provided by SAP.

2) Then you must keep the request for the Access Key by giving your IDES server SID and the Instance number and Host Name.

3) Then your Company must ask for how many Access Keys should be needed to work. because for each and every USER Access key will be varies.

4) Depends on your requirement you can take as many Access Keys to work on SE38 screen.

You can get all the information needed for applying license from :

However, you should have a service marketplace user id and password from your company and the authorization for requesting for a new license.

If your developers are trying to modify the standard object, you will have to register the object in service marketplace and obtain the object key.

IDES is ideally for DEMO purpose. However, as of my knowledge, SAP does not restrict creating enhancements in IDES.
