Hi All

Is it possible to monitor server condition through SAPMMC of any other PC?

Suppose I have installed WEBAS in server1.

Now I want to see that server in SAPMMC of my PC.

Is it possible?

Thanks

Raktim

Hi Kishor

Thanks for ur reply.

I have already added the system into sapmmc. It is not working. Server is running that I can see from the sapmmc in server. In my client all objects like process list , current status etc are showing that it is not running. If I double click on Process List it is giving error:

getProcessList Failed: 80070005

Access is denied .

Waiting for reply.

Thanks

Hi Raktim:

Are you adding the system in the MMC with the <SID>ADM user? In the new version of SAPMMC.DLL there's a new security option to allow certain feature.

You should be able to add and see everything using this user ID.

Let me know if additional help is needed.

Hi Fedrico

Thanks for ur valuable reply. Situation is like this:

Server is in a workgroup.

My Pc is in a domain.

I can login to server as terminal server client and do everything. Now without using terminal server i need to manage webas from my PC using SAPMMC.

Thanks

Hi Rakitm:

OK, I understand now what you want to do…

If you add your WEBAS in you local MMC; then the credentials to impersonate the security are those that are you currently using (your domain ID) and that's why you get Access Denied error when selecting any option or service in MMC; the local workgroup user database at the server doesn't know that user ID you are currently using.

As a workaround, try to create the same user ID with exactly the same password in the server where WEBAS is installed; then add that user account to the Administrator group there. Let's see what happens!!!

Hope this helps!

Hi Federico

Thanks a lot. You have given the right solution. Its working for me.

Its not giving any radio button to give u points. I don't know how they vanished.

I need to add Process table in newly created MMC. I think I shoud create a new thread coz its already restricted me form giving points .

Thanks again.
