Hi all,
I'm using NWDI, version is 7.14.
When I try to create a new DC the vendor dropdown is disabled and all I see is sap.com (see snapshot - http://img390.imageshack.us/my.php?image=newprojectjq3.jpg).
I have opened several projects in the past with no problem (and I could choose my own vendor, the one I created in the SLD).
How can I solve this?
Thanks,
Omri
Omri,
Have you done the name server config
http://server:port/dtr/system-tools/administration/NameServerConfiguration
check all the settings are done in sld http://server:port/sld

See snapshots for my configuration (which looks OK):

The "Development Configuration Path" is empty but it was always empty (it's mentioned in the thread you wrote)

This configuration is working for a year now and this is the 1st time that I cannot open a new project (the post installation steps were done after I installed the server and I didn't have any problems).
Hi Pascal,
Please see snapshot for name reservation configuration (which looks OK)

What else can I check?

Omri,
Check if your NWDS is reporting problems:
- Close NWDS
- Delete all *.log files (including .log) from workspace/.metadata
- Restart NWDS and login to NWDI
Then have a look at the .log file.
There could also be a problem in the Name Server Configuration of the DTR.
http://<nwdiserver>:<port>/dtr/system-tools/administration/NameServerConfiguration
You should see the connection info for your SLD. If not, check that your SLD system is still marked for Name Reservation in SLD - Name Reservation (you should have a button saying "Disable this SLD as Name Server for NWDI").
Regards,
Pascal
Hi Pascal,
I don't see any errors in the NWDS log file:

Under http://<server>:<port>/dtr/system-tools/administration/NameServerConfiguration I see the following URL: http://<server>:<port>/sld/cimom with nwdi admin user and password and 'TrustedCAs' as 'Trusted Store'. I only have entries under the 1st name server (the 2nd is empty).
When I navigate to http://<server>:<port>/sld/cimom I get 'This is the location of the SLD CIM Object Manager that processes WBEM requests (CIM operations over HTTP).'
When I check the name server prefix 'haifa.ac.il/hu' in the SLD the 'Disable this SLD as Name Server for NWDI' button is active...

Omri
Thanks Pascal.
I have some progress: I can select the vendor (the vendor dropdown is now active) but the "Name" dropdown is not active...

Any idea?
