Hi
If the XI Home page is not opening ?what we have to do?What might be the problems to occur this situation.

HI Pavan,
First check the J2ee engine is running or not.
otherwise you can restart the J2ee engine by following
SMICM --> Administration --> J2EE Cluster and you will have multiple options to restart the J2EE engine, shut dowmn, etc .
And also check servername and ipaddress of the xi system in the host file in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc directory.

I addition to what the experts suggested above, you can also check some more things
1) Go to Internet Options --> Connections --> LAN Settings and uncheck all the boxes....connection to some XI servers (mostly client servers) require this setting to be done.
2) Check whether the specified port is opened http://ServerName:PortNumber/.

Hi Pavan,
Check the following:
1. Login to ABAP Stack of XI and run transaction SXMB_IFR
2. if the page is not opening, check the entry for the host name is maintained in the following directory
C:Windowssystem32driversetc
if not mainitain it as
in the above directory open the hosts file in notepad and in the bottom maintain an entry under the localhost like this:
IP address then TAB key and then host name.

first check the url is in correct format and server entry in your Host file.
http://ServerIP:Port/rep/start/index.jsp
also check with basis if server having any problem
