Hello,

Is there a way to limitate the BP? This because one of them has passed away. Now we want to "Lock / Limit" the BP for futher use.

Is this possible? If yes, how could we do that?

Kind regards,

Lukas Molenaar

Hello Lukas,

You can enter the information about a studentu2019s death in the student file via the menu path: Student >Death. There you enter the date of death (optional) and the date on which death was entered (mandatory). The system then sets and displays the status deceased. (Infotype 1728 - Status Indicators)

The start date of status deceased is the date of death. If no date of death is available, the start date equals the data entry date. An activity document is created in the process.

You cannot enter the death date directly in student master data but only in a separate dialog because a deceased status is written.

No specific customizing is required. The deceased status itself, which is displayed in the student header, can be customized using the IMG path: Student Lifecycle Management>Master Data in Student Lifecycle Management > Students>Status Display.

The deceased status can be used to block Student Lifecycle Management activities in the same way as holds using the customizing path: Student Lifecycle Management->Processes in Student Lifecycle Management>General Settings>Statuses>Assign Status Types to Callup Points.

Hope this helps.

Dear Lukas,

Are you talking about Student as BP or other Business Partners like sponsor or vendors?

If it is student then whatever Tina has suggested is right otherwise we have to find a different option to lock BP.

We can block the business parners .

Go to the Area Menu code : BUPT.

SAP Menu->Business Partner->Control->Events.

Create a Z functiom module and attach into the correponding event.

write a code to block in the Z fm.

Dear Molenar,

There is a simple step to block Sponsor.

Go to transaction FMCAC2>>>>Select the BP>>>Go to Status Tab page>>>Click on Lock Check Box(Central Block).

Hope this will solve your issue.
