No email if the email creater & email receiver BP

We are at implementing Service Desk and Change Request Management for a

customer. The project is in Testing phase and the Go-Live is scheduled

for 02.02.2009.

One of the requirements of the customer is that the message creator can

email reciever can be the same person eg. Partner function Reported-by

and Key-User can be the same Business Partner ID with the same email

address. This is the case in 95% of the processes.

But when email creator and email reciever are the same Bp with same

email address. No email is triggered.

Hi,

Which status you want to trigger a mail to same BP? Go to the action and assign partner function as "Reported by" to that status. In ticket maintain same partner function as"reported by"

Thanks for the Reply Nikhil.

But we have a non standard flow in Service Desk. Its a copy of SLFN ofcourse but we have added quiet a few new statuses. The status in which i wanna trigger the mail is "E0009".

The problem comes when the ticket is created via BSP , the reported-by is automatically determined and locked. The BP is determined via organisational model for that Reported by. If the BP for Key User is the same as in Reported-by, we dont see any email action acheduled to be executed on status E0009 (as set in the coinditions) but if we change the BP id for Key user to something different than Reported-by, the action is sceduled and visible in Actions tab in Transaction Data.

Thanks and Kind Regards

Check the Note:

670544 we had the same problem.

2. A partner-dependent action is not scheduled or executed even though the partner is available. Why?

Check whether the partner in the transaction appears in two different partner functions. If it does, this may be due to the active standard implementation of CRM_ACTION_BADI. Deactivate it. See Note 621183 for more information.

Hi,

Please check your partner determination procedure. Which partner functions have you defined in that? You must have "Reported by" or "Key user" in partner determination and in ticket. You must have maintained Key user in partner det. proc. and in ticket it is reported by.

Reported by is automatically getting determined bcoz od org. str. but action triggers based on partner determination.

Have you maintained BP details on identification tab? Also check mail id.

Check above.

Thanks for ur reply Nico,

This worked wonders. Now mailing to from and to same BP works.

Will the deactivation of BADI affect any other functionality or is it only related to emails ?

Thanks and Kind Regards
