new session rejected due to memory bottleneck in SRM

Hi All,

While connecting to SRM through the URL http://<fully qualified hostname >/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpsc02/!, it is giving error "new session rejected due to memory bottleneck ".

It says that error occured on the app. server and in work process 1.

Termination type:ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE

Hello,

look at note 742048 "Integrated ITS, memory requirement in R/3 application server". This note has solution to your problem.

Basically you need to increase em/global_area_MB parameter.

I tried in RZ10, there this parameter itself is not available.

Hi

You see view in rz11 but take help from basis guy.there are some technical intricacies are there.. like once you changed the parameter it will not reflect you.it reflects only after restarting the server only..

but procudure is go to rz10, select appropriate profile and version click extended maintenance

then you may get one screen. it will ask you paramet name and do modification ans save..and you will get popup message.

Good to know that.Always take help from Basis consultant. it is not our cup of tea.As far I know,After changing the parameter and server must be restarted.
