build warning........ unable to deploy

Former Member

hi all

i had created a library dc that uses an external library as a used dc. I am unable to build the dc without warning. Further when i deploy it it throws me a deployment error and the deployment gets aborted.

So i removed the used dc and jus tried to build the empty library dc it still gives me the same warning and again deployment gets aborted.

Any insights?

regards

vln

Hi vln,

you can ignore the build warning because you don´t have any sources. You do have an external library.

Tell us the details of the deploy error.

I guess you defined a deploy time dependency between your library DC and the external lib DC. Because the external lib is not deployed at the J2EE engine you get an error. You want to deploy the external lib with your library DC so there must not be a deploy time or runtime dependency.

Also make sure that the external library DC gets included in your using DC by defining and using a public part for assembly. There are some topics in this forum that explain what the exact steps are.
