Hello SAP Experts,
We have an SAP Lab and an IDES R/3 system installed in it along with other servers. I want to send message from the server to all logged in users. I tried SM02 and some of the posts here . But it is not working. Can anyone please guide me. I appreciate your valuable inputs.
Thanks a lot

Hello,
I have been doing the steps mentioned by Manjula. I have also tried it once again to confirm. But the msg is not reaching all the users like a popup when they working. For some, the msg is reaching when they are moving between the screens and for some, the msg is not reaching at all.I have to restart the server manytimes due to some changes that i am making. And there are too many users to convey the msg. So i need to send a msg to all the users as popup on their screen. Please, i invite you suggestions...
thanks a lot
Regards
Dorcas

If the message is sended via SM02 and the user is not actively using SAP they will not get the message as this will only popup when the user execute a transaction or move from screeen... etc.
If you have more than one instance make sure that you're not populating the server field as this will restrict the message to that specific application server and the same with the client.
You can also send a mail to everyone just in case they miss the SAP message.
Thats all that you can do.

what is not working?... If the message broadcasted via SM02 has be readed once then it won't show up again for the same user.

Hello
To send a message to all users in the sense Sm02 is the
one best thing .just follow as said below.
Tcode Sm02 -->then create
a.Enter the text of the message at the 3 lines.
b.specify the clients and servers to which the
message is to be sent, If you leave blank the client
field then this message will go to all clients in the server
Once this is done just log off and log in any client and
the very start you can see the message.
go through this link
http://help.sap.com/saphelpnw04/helpdata/EN/69_
/c250e24ba111d189750000e8322d00/frameset.htm
Also there exists one more thing in order to send message to
single user...like goto SE37 in that type TH_POPUP and
execute, there you need to enter the client number,Message
and Username.hence this is one way of giving message to
Single Users.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Manjula.
