HI,

what are the things to be considered for migration from sap 4.7 to ecc 6.0

1 like sales order -whether sales orders (All sales orders or only open sales orders)to be migrated -if so what are the different ways

to migrated 1. how to extract /upload sales orders

2. whether delivery/billing to be migrated

3. condition records to be migrated or wat

4 stock balance to be migrated or what

Migrate Pricing and Discounts: Can be a LSWM or ECATT.

MIgrating Sales Orders:

Based on your companies Data Policy. If they want to have all theTransaction data history (open orders, Back Orders and closed orders) , then all orders need to be migrated. But most often this is not the Scenario.

Most companies opt for last 5 years of Transaction Data.

If the Company wants only open orders then extract Open Unconfirmed orders.- prepare the load based on mapping rules....(few fields and field values might have got changed in new system)- then ABAP can do a LSMW to load this extract to new system.

Similarly Open Credits and Debits.

Inventory- On date

Open AR and Open AP

GL Accounts and Balances.

Open Invoices
