Restrict User from changing the status through IE02.

Dear all,

For a vehicle, we have configured different statuses for against an equipment like created, Roll, Inspection Float (IFLT), Supply Float (SFLT), despatch etc. Now we want to restrict Users who are changing status directly through IE02 in reverse direction (i.e. SFLT to IFLT) instead of using standard Tcode (MB1B) based movement of the Eqpt.

We want to ensure that an User should not be allowed to change SFLT to IFLT thro' IE02 however forward action is permitted thro' IE02.

Status reversal has to be TCode based & not merely thro' IE02.

We tried this with authorisation key which if provided allows both Forward as well as Reverse status change.

We also tried User Exit which will not allow us to change the Equipment status through manual transaction.

Please suggest a solution. Above two solutions may not be perfect.

Vivek

Hi ,

Use status with status numbers instead of using authorization key. That means u can move forward in respect of statuses but not backward.

Thanks ,

We change the lower status then we won't be in position to change to that earlier status when it is required genuinely.

I should be able to go to ealrier statuses also however with TCode only & not by changing the status thro' IE02.
