Hello Benake,
From what I understand you should set up a scanning software for scanning the incoming documents. If the solution is SAP certified then it will allow calls to SAP to upload the documents in to the SAP DB. Else you can also create an upload program in SAP to upload the electronic format in to the SAP DB as a DIR on a periodic basis.
