stopsap ,startsap ,listener not responding on HP unix .

HI,

My SAP is on server HP-unix 11 and I am not able to acces the SAP from GUI.

Itu2019s going to u201CWaiting for responseu201D.

Also trying to u201Cstopsapu201D using putty but itu2019s also not processing.

It shows below two line

Checking BP1 Database

Please suggest what to do .

also trying to start -stop listner it's also not responding

pl. suggest.

Hi,

Please make sure that all the required File Systems are mounted also try to analyze the errors in startsap_DVEBMGS<nn>.log & stopsap_DVEBMGS<nn>.log

Problem is sorted out after restart the server .

(stop database and then restart the HP server)

Please note

1. i am stoped the oracle from sqlprompt.(oracle commandes excutes properly onley sap command like stopsap ; startsap ; START listner hangs up after exicuting the commands)

2 .also killed some running sap process.

after than also tryed to stop sap but stopsap not responding and session hans up after ctrl+c session is not terminated.

this server is running from last one month no any sap issue reported during this time from mornining we are facing the same problem.

Hi Ravi,

What is the out put of ps-ef |grep dw & ps -ef |grep ora ?

Anything in the error report at the os level?did you checked the oracle alert log?
