Hi!
Can anyone explain the scenario/s when to use more than one network in one single WBS Element?
I cannot see the usage of this, but I will like to know if someone has implemented this and how its work.
Please share even if you have some ideas about this.
Best regards
Jose Marin
hi,
in projects many networks could be attached to one WBS for many scenarios..
in my case i usually create separate networks to break down different scope of work..
for example WBS is named Concrete works, then i create 3 different Networks in order to group Service activites of the different contractors..
another example is:
WBS1 - Concrete Works
Network 1 - Phase 1
Act1 - Concrete Materials
Act2 - Subcon Service
Network 2 - Phase 2
Act1 - Internal Activity
Act2 - Other Materials
Generally, it depends on you and scenario whether you really need/want to create several networks, it provides more flexiblity and if you like to maintain networks with different Network Type, etc..
I believe there are so many other possible scenarios and you yourself will encounter need and see the significance as you encounter more scenarios/gain more experience..
regards
