Hi,

Server Instance Name: If you have installed the server on the same machine as the NWDS, then you can give 'localhost' but if it is on a different machine, you will need to give the hostname of this machine (IP address should also work)

Server Instance Number: login to NWA n chk in System Info, alternatively from the folder name under usr/sap/ .. folder on the machine where the server is installed.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

I am facing the same issue, because something has changed!

I am running the following version of NWDS:

SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio

SAP NetWeaver 7.1 Composition Environment SP07 PAT0000

Build id: 200812201927

In this version if you go to

Window->Preferences->SAP AS Java

then you have to register you SAP instances by filling the following fields:

Instance host

Instance number

Where do I get the values from for filling the 2 fields?

Could someone please specify some example values?

Thanks

By the way:

have a look at

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/46/9ca4cf4e8b0487e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

There you will see exactly what I see under

Window->Preferences->SAP AS Java

in my NWDS 7.1

Any Hint is welcome!

Thanks

In the new release you have to specify the instance number of your Web AS. You can find it for example by opening the following URL (requires admin rights):

http://server:port/monitoring/SystemInfo
