what is the Need to have output determination at header & at item level

Tto create a billing document with the help of output type, and output type is linked with access sequence.

hence is nesseary for header level.

And item level

Output Determination (SD). Features You can process output as follows:Selecting a worklist for output If required, you can edit output before it is processed.You can process output online or in the background. Selecting a worklist using report RSNAST00 If you need to process output for several applications and periods of time. Explicitly processing output for a sales and distribution document If you choose background processing, you can start several reports simultaneously. For example, after creating the billing documents, you can run two reports concurrently: to print the billing documents to transmit the billing documents to Financial Accounting

1. I want to know why output determination is required at header & at item level

say V10000 Order Output

V10002 Item Output

instead we can have only at header level.

2. in va02 also we have extras-output -header & item

Well freiend,

It's not required. It's the option SAP has provided to use if the customer requirement is like that.If yr business is not to use those at item level, u need not use it.However, it depends upon the client, if business demands u can use it ,if not leave it.
