Web Dynpro perspective not visibe in NWDS CE7.1

Dear All

I have installed NWDS CE 7.1 at my system.

It does not contain Web Dynpro perspective.

Could you please help me in finding the reason and corrective step for it.

Hi Vineet,

I think your installation is not complete.

Open the NW Develoepr Studio, Go to the Help Menu,

Select Software Updates,

And then select Find and Install to install the Web Dynpro related features

or you can also check if your installation includes Web Dynpro by selecting Manage Configurations.

Dear Alka

I tried the options as suggested by you but there are no updates available.

In Manage Configurations I am not able to see any thing related to web dynpro.

Also, I am not able to see NWDS installed in Add or Remove programs in Control Panel of windows.

I guess the NWDS is not getting installed properly.

I downloaded it from the path below and followed the instructions during installation

Kindly suggest what are my options?

Hi,

You need to setup an Update Site and then update your NWDS for CE 7.1.

Hi,

is there a reason why my S-User is not authorized to access the update-site via NWDS? I am using NWDS 7.1.1 SP0, the default-installed remote-update-site does not work either..

Hi,

go to windows - > open perspective and select Webdynpro from there. If it is not present there check the same in others.

In case now also you dont find it, install NWDS again.

Window->Open Perspective->Other->Webdynpro

If a perspective is missing then it could be a problem with the installation.
