Can emergency user be activated for this portal system?

Hello,

We got EP 6.0 (Java stack only)

running in solaris system.

The data source for this portal is our corporate

Active Directory.

That being said,

we do not know the password for Administrator account.

Also, we do not have other accounts with portal admin

privileges.

In order to reset the password for administrator account,

i am planning to activate emergency user thru config tool.

But my question here is,

is it possible to activate emergency user when the portal system

using active directory as data source?

My experience is mostly EP 7.0, but:

There should be no problem activating emergency user, because your local UME database should still be effective.

The only issue will be if emergency user id already exists in AD and active. In this case SAP system will get confused.

If you have access to OS on portal, this is a quick way of getting in without config tools and restarts.
