SPAM Update 30 Problem

Hello!

I have a little problem with my SPAM Update.

I have two new installed ECC 6.0 systems (ABAP Stacks), one is the DEV system and the other one is the QAS system. The DEV system is the transporthost. On the DEV system all SPs are imported.

Now I want to import the SPs in the QAS system, too. All SPs were loaded successfully into the QAS system from the DEV system/trans directory.

First I wanted to import the SPAM 30 Update. But it "crashed" at one point ( "Check requirements" - "R3trans DB connect finished with return code 0"). There it is running and running and....and nothing happens. I stopped the transaction.

Checking the tp log:

Error: Cannot remove
<devhost>\sapmnt\trans\tmp\C081028.<qasSID>

The authorizations of the sapmnt are set according to the installation guide "Preparing the SAP System Transport Host".

Does anyone know what I maybe have forgotten to check or to set?

Hi,

Can you please check the file at the location where you have

mentioned. I agree with my friend that try to rename the file.

Can you also try R3trans -d from the OS level to just check

that there is no connection issue between SAP and DB.

With r3trans -d I got:

This is R3trans.exe version 6.14 (release 700 - 24.04.08 - 14:09:00).
unicode enabled version
2EETW169 no connect possible: "connect failed with DBLI_RC_LOAD_LIB_FAILED."
R3trans.exe finished (0012).

And I checked also the tp log again. This time on OS Level instead of in ABAP. The file is last changed on 28th October. So could it be that there are some wrong information stored in some buffers or something?!

I did not execute this command with the <sid>adm.

Now I did and there was no error.

Just:

try to connect

tp connect <SID> pf=<transportprofile>

can you check whether the above file exists? if yes then can you rename and retry your SPAM update?

Why you are sharing the trans dir from dev to qas...

that´s it!

because the dev is the transporthost for this ECC group.

I renamed it and reset the spam import. Then started it again --> same error.
