change of sales unit from PAC to PK

Hi All,

We have a scenario where in we have a report which downloads information with sales unit as PAC. This information is being processed by a different application which understands only PK and not PAC.

Now when I change the conversion functional module in SAP to download the report with PK as sales unit , it throws a mesage saying that "Internal unit of meaasurement not maintained in EN language".

When I checked in customizing , transaction (CUNI), there is no entry for PK as commercial /technical unit of measure .

My question is that ,is this a best practice to maintain the transaction CUNI with a new entry PK (which is not a standard sales UoM).

or Is there any other way to do this .

Note : I can't change the material master as the issue is only for the report .Otherwise the material is being sold in standard UoM (PAC).

Dear Sridhar,

You can define as per your requirement in the same transaction there will not be any problem.But don't distrub existing data.

You just copy the existing PAC then change the name according to your rquirement.
