ECC6 install Linux_X86_64 for Oracle fail at step Configure Oracle Network

Former Member

Deal all,

When I finished the Oracle installation and Patch updates(Oracle version is 10.2 from SAP and also Patch from SAP), I press "ok" to continue to install it from the GUI but the error message pop up.

"OracleNetworkConfigurator.doServerNetworkConfiguration:Argument listenerOraTemplate must point to an existing file...) you may...

Then I check the detail log for more information:

CJS-00030 Assertion failed:OraNetworkConfigurator.doServerNetworkConfiguration::Argument listenerOraTemplate must point to an existing file...)

FCO-00011 The step doNetworkConfigurationServer with Step key.....

the later information still like ::Argument listenerOraTemplate must point to an existing file...

How should I do ? What's the reason? But when I install Oracle 10.2, there also several errors but ignored by me. Is there any relationship between them?

Anyone can help me? Thank you!

Regards

Martin.

Did you install Oracle by using RUNINSTALLER (in capitals from the SAP subdirectory of the Oracle installation DVD) or did you install it manually?

Did you start the installation with sapinst and then installed the database when sapinst requested you to do so?

Dear all,

Got it, the reason is missing for a lot of *.RPM base on I386 even the system is X86_64. Dont know why Oracle still not update these bugs in theire installation package or SAP dont update the installation package of Oracle? Anyway, thank you all for the support. Any friends who have the same case, pls follow Oracle latest installation guide to update these .RPM packages.

Install java version from IBM 1.4.2 SR10

RPM is version IBMJava2-AMD64-142-SDK-1.4.2-10.0.x86_64.rpm

Get IBM JDK & JCE from IBM web site.

1. IBM JDK needs <libXp> rpm packages.

2. libXp need < XFree86-libs-data > & < XFree86-libs> rpm packages

IBM JDK Need below Linux Packages

Install following RPM pre-requisite are as follows: (always use Uvh instead ivh , recommended.)

1. rpm -ivh XFree86-libs-data-4.1.3.0-128.EL.x86_64.rpm

2. rpm -ivh XFree86-libs-4.1.3.0-128.EL.x86_64.rpm

3. rpm -ivh libXp-1.1.0.0-8.1.el5.x86_64.rpm

4. rpm -ivh libXp-1.0.0-8.i386.rpm

Get the libXp packs from Red Hat 5.2 CD # 3 (by default libXp will not be installed, even if you choose install all packs).

Get XFree86-libs-data & XFree86-libs from Red Hat support web site.

Sorry to interupt.

I have downloaded IBMJava2...-12.0.x865_64 but can't get it to install on redhat

when I run rpm I get the following

rpm -i IBMJava2-AMD64-142-SDK-1.4.2-12.0.x86_64.rpm

error: Failed dependencies:

libstdc++.so.5 is needed by IBMJava2-AMD64-142-SDK-1.4.2-12.0.x86_64

I have installed bott the compatibility libraries (just in case)

compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-138.i386.rpm

compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61.i386.rpm

also also

libXp-1.0.0-8.i386.rpm

libXp-1.0.0-8.x86_64.rpm

Now I will say I am not sure if have the correct XFree86 libraries as I didn't know if I needed them or where to get them from,

Has anyone had this libstdc++.so.5 problem before and if so what was the cure?

Thanks in Advance.
