High number of archive logs - log switching

Hi All,

We have the following issue on our R/3 enviroment. We have upgraded our ECC 6.0 system SP14. Our DB is oracle 10.

The issue is oracle log switching is happening very frequently , mostly it is generating log file every minute constantly and sometimes more than 2. This is happening since the upgrade.

I looked at SAP side to see if there are any updates, inserts ,delete happening constantly and I dont see any of these.

Have any one faced this situation ?

Any help ?

Thanks!

Hi!

Do the database alert<SID>.log tell You anything?

Look in v$session for sessions where status=active.

Are you using ASSM tablespaces?

What exact version are you using?

Yes we are using ASSM.

Exact oracle version is 10.2.0.2.0.

After upgrade, we also ran SGEN.

Thanks for helping on this !

Did you check all the tablespaces?

You can check also

That is not your original problem but your problem may be caused by this.
