The host doesn't know who is "PWDF2788" - either enter the hostname in the hosts file or check your DNS settings.

Hi Markus,
Thanks for your answer.
I had check the hosts file and the hostname is correctly.
I run tcode DB13 once more and you're right the database's hostname is incorrect in System configuration as below:
System data
Database Name: NSP
Schema : SAPNSP
Database Host: PWDF2788
Database Release : 7.6.00.028
Database System : MaxDB/liveCache
I can not edit the system configuration directly and only able to change the DB connection. How to change the database's configuration?
Thank you
Hi Markus,
I already run tcode DB59 and the configuration looks fine.
Name of Database Connection : NSP
Database Type : MaxDB
Name of Database: NSP
Database Server: FWILSON
Central Authorization X
Monitoring Using Alert Monitor X
Integration Data @01\QIntegration data complete@
Last Changed On 01.11.2008
Last Changed At 15:21:25
Last Changed By SAP*
And i did connection test but still failed/error as below:
Application Server: FWILSON_NSP_00 ( Windows NT )
1. Connect. test with "dbmcli db_state" Unsuccessfu
dbmcli_command_execute_error
Error! Connection failed to node FWILSON for database NSP:
-24950,ERR_USRFAIL: User authorization failed
External program terminated with exit code 2
2. Connect. test with command mode "dbmrfc db_state" Unsuccessfu
dbm_system_error
Name and Server : NSP - FWILSON
DBMRFC Function : DBM_EXECUTE
Command : db_state
Error : DBM Error
Return Code : -2
Error Message : ERR_USRFAIL: User authorization failed#
3. Connect. test with session mode "dbmrfc db_state" Unsuccessfu
dbm_system_error
Name and Server : NSP - FWILSON
DBMRFC Function : DBM_CONNECT
Error : DBM Error
Return Code : -2
Error Message : ERR_USRFAIL: User authorization failed#
4. Connect. test with "native SQL" ( NSP ) Unsuccessfu

Anything i should do to solve this problem?
Or just simply reinstall the Database?
Thanks alot.

Hello Ferry,
1. Connect. test with "dbmcli db_state" Unsuccessfu
dbmcli_command_execute_error
Error! Connection failed to node FWILSON for database NSP:
-24950,ERR_USRFAIL: User authorization failed
Error "user authorization failed" means that you entered a wrong dbm user and/or password.
This has nothing to do with the database server.
Check also the user / password of the standard SAP user, as the last check also fails.
Regards,
Melanie
