SERIAL NUMBERS FOR ASSEMBLY ORDERS

hI,

I would like to know, how serial numbers for Assembled products be assigned .

If possible, please explain it in details as I'm in different module altogether.

Hi Durai,

1. First You need to assign the Serial number profile in Material Master under Plant data2.

2. System will create serial numbers at the time of production order release.

3. a) In QM point of view under Inspection type active tick mark in Serial numbers.

b) Your MIC should be single result recording and Sample size should be 100%.

C) with r. to above you can record the result as well as stock posting done serial number wise.

Revert further clarification.

How do i confirm, yes serial numbers have been allocated after assembling.

Can I view through the production order or where.

Can you explain in detail

Hi,

Go to CO03 (Order Display) enter order number and press enter.

Here go to Menu Header -> click Serial Number System will show the serial numbers for a order.

After Confirm the final goods receipt through MB31 you have to assign the serial number. This you have to see through MMBE -> enter Assembly code plant execute -> go to Environment -> Click Equipment / Serial number.

Check and revert.

All prerequisites are there.

But the serial numbers are not being created. Why please?
