Hi Experts!!!!!

I have recently installed ECC6.0SR2 on my windows 2003 sr2. I have installed dual stack.

The installation went fine and finished without any errors, I have used the j2sdk1.4.2_18.

But when I try to start the configtool or visualadmin, I am not able to start it,it says path cannot be find.

I have check in the service.sap.com/pam here its mentioned sap supports all the versions of j2sdk1.4.2.

Any Suggestions or Ideas.

Regards,

Vamshi.

Hi,

Where are you trying to start config tool and visual admin? On your local pc or on the server itself?

If working on your pc, JAVA_HOME variable needs to be set there too?

(You can check the JAVA_HOME var by executing "echo %JAVA_HOME%" in cmd window.

The "path cannot be found" error in Java normally means that the JAVA_HOME var is wrong or missing

Hi,

I am trying on the server it self, the path is set, JAVA_HOME=c:\j2sdk1.4.2_18/bin;

I have installed in another system in august the java version was 15, it worked fine with out any problems.

But with this 18 version, I facing this issue.

Hi vamshi, can you say ""ECC6.0SR2 on my windows 2003 sr2" are you use 64 bit Windows or 32 ?

P.S. are you logged it under SIDADM user?

Regards.

Hi,

Its a 32 bit machine. I am using sidadm userd id. Thats not a permission problem, I think its some problem with java version and all.

Hi,

This is normal one, you have to set the environment path in OS level.

JAVA_HOME and PATH - set this both variables in your system and try to start visual admin.

This is windows or unix machin ?
