ECC6 installation error -port 21200

Hi All,

while trying to install ECC6 i am getting the following errors

"load resource pool D:\DVD8_java\InsMaster\IM_WINDOWS_I386\resourcepool.xml"

"guiengine: no GUI connected; waiting for a connection on host ECC6, port 21200 to continue with the installation" even after setting the path as u have mentioned.

I am getting the below error when i tried using "sapinst SAPINST_SKIP_ERRORSTEP=true"

"guiengine: call to bind() for socket 21200 1780 failed . No error

103 guiengine.connection.failed 21200, 943

Exit status of child: 1 "

Could anyone tell me how to resolve this?

Regards,

Ravi

Hi,

For used port, you can open services file and u can change the port 21200 which is in use by other application to any free port than you can try to restart sapinst..

for Windows :- <drive>:\WINDOWS\system32

\drivers\etc\services

for Unix :- \etc\services

Best of Luck,

Hi,

You can always give search for 21200 once you find any

program using 21200 you just have to delete the no 21200 and

give any free port no. over there. and then you should try.

Best of luck,

looks like port 21200 already used, restart sapinst with another port if you cant release the default port.
