/Users/XXX/Library/Preferences/SAP/message.txt

/Users/XXX/Library/Preferences/SAP/router.txt

My config.txt:

@MESSAGESERVER = "/Users/XXX/Library/Preferences/SAP/message.txt"

What should i wrote in my message.txt and my router.txt ???

The ini file for windows is the following:

[Router]

hcctum=/H/193.174.32.41 /H/saprouter.hcc.in.tum.de/S/3299/H/

hcctumremote=/H/saprouter.hcc.in.tum.de/S/3297/H/

The last post solved my problem

As an alternative, you can define the G95 message server only as

G95 : /H/G95Z/S/sapmsG95

and then choose the router entry "hcctum" before choosing the G95 entry in the system list.

THANK YOU !!! Best regards...

Hello Hans,

doing a search for "java configuration" in [SAP GUI forum|; with date range "all" will show you many threads discussing the configuration of SAP GUI for Java .

The one which you might be interested in particular is [Configure SAP GUI for Java|;.

Also reading chapters 7 + 9 of the manual part of SAP GUI for Java should help.

When having ini files from SAP GUI for Windows, you should look into "sapmsg.ini", "saproute.ini" and "services" file.

Best regards

Rolf-Martin

P.S. moved thread to SAP GUI forum since this is not really Mac specific

Thanks and best regards,

Hans

Hello Hans,

when having a setup for SAP GUI for Windows available to derive from, proceed as following.

The message server file for SAP GUI for Java needs information from "sapmsg.ini" and "services" combined into one file.

For example a system with name "TST", that has a message server "testmsg.loc.company.com" listening to port 3600, is listed in

sapmsg.ini as

TST=testmsg.loc.company.com

and for the port in services as

sapmsTST 3600/tcp

Combine these 2 into one line in messageservers.txt for SAP GUI for Java as

TST : /H/testmsg.loc.company.com/S/3600

A router listed in "saproute.ini" from SAP GUI for Windows as

myrouter = /H/saprouter.loc.comany.com/S/3299/H/

can be transferred to the router.txt file for SAP GUI for Java as

myrouter : /H/saprouter.loc.comany.com/S/3299

Nevertheless please read the documentation proposed earlier to understand the syntax and the options how to organize the files.

Best regards

Thats my problem, i read the documentation ^^ Afterwards, i test it 3 days... and as you can see, now i'm here

Currently i'm installing it at the windows system, to have a look into "sapmsg.ini", "saproute.ini" and "services"...

where i can found them? in my windows folder or the SAP Folder or perhaps in the AppData/Roaming/SAP Folder in my useraccount?

as i wrote in my first post, i dont know, what data i have to use for my router and for my message server...

i only have the windows ini file ...

currentlich i have this as my message server

G95 : /H/193.174.32.41/S/3299/H/saprouter.hcc.in.tum.de/S/3299/H/G95Z/S/sapmsG95

and this is my router:

hcctum: /H/193.174.32.41/S/3299

hcctumremote: /H/saprouter.hcc.in.tum.de/S/3297

mgdremote: /H/remote.hcc.uni-magdeburg.de/S/3299

but it is wrong, because i can't connect

Hello Hans,

sapmsg.ini and saprout.ini are by default located in the Windows directory. You can find out where SAP GUI for Windows is reading those files from by opening the options dialog in SAP Logon.

The services file usually can be found in ...Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

If the line for your message server you have mentioned is from the file from SAP GUI for Java, the problem is that "sapmsG95" might be unknown.

Please use the port number found for sapmsG95 in services file instead.

What should i do for my Mac Java Version?

in my message.txt is the following:

G95 : /H/193.174.32.41/S/3299/H/saprouter.hcc.in.tum.de/S/3299/H/G95Z/S/sapmsG95

and in my router.txt

hcctum: /H/193.174.32.41/H/saprouter.hcc.in.tum.de/S/3299

If i create in the SAP Java GUI a new Connection i choose my G95 System and Group/Server is automatically SPACE !!! That works... The Description is G95 [SPACE], that works ...

if i now choose the router, i get an error:

Invalid connection Data

Connection to message server failed:

Error: www-neu: route permission denied (hcc1c01.informatik.tu-muenchen.de to saprouter.hcc.in.tum.de, 3299)

Location: SapRouter on www.neu

etc...

Any Ideas ??? GREAT THANKS !!!

PS: i took a look at the vista SAP, there ist the sapmsG95 also!!!

Hello Hans,

the entry

G95 : /H/193.174.32.41/S/3299/H/saprouter.hcc.in.tum.de/S/3299/H/G95Z/S/sapmsG95

in your message servers file already includes the routers to be used to access the message server.

When choosing "G95", the SPACE entry in the Groups/Servers list is the result of the query of the message server of G95. So the route to the message server works.

Instead of choosing another router after this, please try to save as is and then choose the resulting "G95 SPACE" entry to connect.

To my knowledge, the connect to the application server will then use the same router definition like for the message server.

As an alternative, you can define the G95 message server only as

G95 : /H/G95Z/S/sapmsG95

and then choose the router entry "hcctum" before choosing the G95 entry in the system list.

Best regards

Rolf-Martin
