SAP-OSS Connection

Hello Experts,

I trying to setup EWA setup between Solman and satellite system (ECC).

Observed that my IP servers all them are under the firewall.

ITs very hard to add the IP address into my compant firewall as per the note 33135.

I followed the simulator and configured almost everything except Sap-oss connection.

1.Is it possible to generate the EWA report from satellite system with out SAP-OSS connection. ?.

EWA uses SAPOSS not SAP-OSS.

Hi Thiru,

You can get the service definitions file also via a transport (see SAP Note 727998).

See also the SDCCN FAQs in SAP Note 763561.

SAP-OSS is not used to get service definitions, but to send user specific data to SAP (for example service desk messages).

Hello,

you need the service definitions. the report will generated in your solution manager system but you need the service defintions in your satellite system. If you delete this definition, the system will load down the new definition from sap.

the generated ewa will send to sap but i do not know wether you need the saposs connection .
