J2EE-Instance did not come after 954 sec during SP15--> dialog instance

hello,

during installation of the dialog instace update (sp15),

the J2EE-Instance D01 did not come after 954 sec.

In the SAP mmc all instances have a green status.

thats curious.

can anybody help me please?

Did you try to put backup kernel before the update ?

this is the error: ERROR 2006-02-14 10:05:04

CJS-20058 J2EE Engine D01 of SAP system XI3 did not reach state "Starting Applications" after 1176 seconds: giving up.

Hi Stefan -

Any logs get created in the '\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<InstanceNumber>\work' directory - such as in files 'std_server0.out', 'dev_jcontrol', 'jvm_server0.out', etc. If so, any more details on the error in those logs?

Hi,

thanks for your help.

There is another reason for this error.

Before installation of SP15 we had installed SP12 and there was no safe mode.

With the first step auf the j2ee-patch the safe mode was installed and was set on.

So, I have set off the safe mode and the installation was gone.

Where do i find the j2ee-patch the safe mode?? Can u be more brief abt this issue please.

you find the the safe mode on the visual admin in the menu bar.
