Changing the Name of Organization Business Partners

Hi Experts,

Anybody can tell me why some of my Organizations Business Partners in transaction BP do not allow me to change their name and some other do?

I don't see any difference between them... but still, they behave in a different manner.

Any suggestion?

From a first investigation, it seams that the name of an Organization can be changed until no relationships with other BPs are in place.

Can anybody confirm?

hi aldo ,

i came across the same problem as well,but as u said my BP does not have any Relationships with other business partners ,yet i am not able to change the name of it

No, unfortunatly I don't have a full solution for this.

If you are able to change organizational name of few BP and not few BP means:

Check if those BPs got locked?

Under tab "Status", Checkboxes of "Lock". It shouldn't be checked.

Also check change authorization is allowed for Organizational Unit under "Authorizaion Overview"

BP->Extras->Settings->Authorizaion Overview->Roles->Organizational Unit
