hi,
comparision between PS and Cproject:
Project Systems (PS)
All transactions done via SAP GUI.
Project Systems is stronger in terms of Project Structuring, Procurement, MRP, and Project Progress Analysis.
The WBS in PS can work as a cost collector object.
PS can be preferred for capital expenditure projects.
Collaboration Projects (cProjects)
cProjects has a web based interface. Transactions carried out through a browser. End users working on cProjects need not have an SAP GUI installed on their system.
cProjects being more strongly linked to Resourcing and HR, these features here are weaker.
In cProjects, an internal order works as a sole cost collector object for the entire project. Alternatively, WBS elements of PS can be used. ( Requires PS integration)
Usage Aspects of cProjects:
cProjects is a web based application and is accessed using a browser. However, the database resides in the R/3 and the transactions are executed via request-response model. cProjects is not a -

Import and Export of Data:
There are two standard ways of exchanging data between non SAP applications and cProjects:

u2022 Import/Export of a project via MS Project.
Features in cProjects which are not present in Project Systems:
u2022 cProjects is very strong in Resource Management functionalities since it is strongly linked with HR. Resource search based on Availability, Skills and Organizational Assignment works seamlessly in cProjects.

u2022 Authorizations in cProjects are restricted to each element. Authorizations can be optionally given (based on Organizational Units or Roles) to a user to perform resource management activities. Unlike cProjects, the user can be restricted only over an entire project as a whole in PS.
u2022 Customers/External sources can be created as a user and given necessary authorizations to track project status and monitor them.
