sap logon pad missing buttons: log-on, new item, change item, delete item

Hi,

Good day.

I have installed SAP GUI 710; unfortunately, the following buttons are missing in my SAP LOGON PAD:

(1) log-on,

(2) new item,

(3) change item,

(4) delete item

In this light, I can't add a new server using the SAP Logon pad.

With this, I have two questions:

(1) Can I bring back / enable the buttons mentioned above?

(2) How do I enable the buttons mentioned above?

Thank you very much!

Best regards.

Brando

If you open saplogon.exe instaed saplgpad.exe you will see this buttons, if you open saplogon.exe but you can't see this buttons --> press on top left square --> options, and unselect "disable system edit functions"

Hi Sergo,

A shortcut to saplgpad.exe has been created on my desktop after the installation of SAP GUI 710 Patch 10. That's the reason why my SAP LOGON doesn't have the said buttons above.

However, i checked if there is a saplogon.exe added in my desktop. Unfortunately, the said file is not available.

Do you have any idea why i don't have the said file?

Thank you very much!

Hi,

You can run saplogon.exe from folder <drive>:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui. hopefully its there.

Otherwise, you may consider uninstalling gui and reinstalling.

SAPLGPAD and SAPLOGON are options within the SAP GUI Suite. You can select either (or both) when installing SAP GUI 7.10. You can run the installation again with the same options as your previous installation and add the option for SAP Logon. Or you can just copy SAPLOGON.EXE from the installation point into the C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui folder with SAPLGPAD.EXE.

If you manually copy SAPLOGON.EXE to your PC then you will also have to manually create a shortcut on your desktop or Start menu.
