Please help us to know significance of No forecast model (Number 98).

A forecast strategy = selection and testing of one or more forecast models manually or automatically.

Forecats Startegy 98= No Forecast.is distinct from Forecast strategy = 60 historical data adopted.

98 may make sense for certain location products that are not planned for temporarily. i,.e there is no end customer demand for it. This makes sense when demand planning in background uses a large number of forecast profiles for a various products and locations and a few of them have no marketing requirements planned for temporarily. Instead of tinkering with such prod.locations from selections and jobs, the forecast profile can be chaged to model 98 selectively. Probably later 98 may be revereted to some otehr initial model that that was used to begin with.

60 copies the history into forecast key figure. So these products are still valid for demand and supply planning. This could be say useful for products consumed internally that have more or less the same requirements irrespective of customer/fg demand but still needs to be planned because they have have other dependencies in supply plannig.

The end results would depend again on macros being used basis the forecast key figure and the final key figure of demand being relased for supply planning.

Hi Rohit.

No forecast is used when you want to stop forecasting a characteristic combination (cc).

It is more commonly used in the scenario where users are fine tuning forecast models for specific characteristic combinations via interactive forecasting.

Example: A decision may be made that a particular cc is not suitable for statistical forcasting and the plan will be created through manual entry, so the interactive forecasting is used to set the forecast profile assigned to that cc to use the 'No Forecast' model. The values in the statistical forecast key figure are deleted and will not be replaced during subsequent mass forecasting runs because the 'No Forecast' model is set.
