system is proposing incorrect recipt date

Dear Gurus,

I have 2 products-

A is made out of B, i.e. B is child component of A. when i run optimizer, availability date is shown as 2nd of the month. this product starts on the date 1st and available on 2nd.

its child component also starts on 1st and ends on 2nd which is not possible. it has to be present before parent component's production starts.

kindly let me know the reasons for this abnormal behavior

bucket offset in pds and optimizer profile for both item is 0 and 1 respectivly and optimizer is running on monthly bucket.

1 If you are running in monthly bucket how do you get receipt date as 2nd?

2 Have you maintained GR processing time in child product by chance?

yes GR processing time is maintained in child component.

we have maintained 1 as bucket offset in the optimizer profile.

Hi,

Check whether you have mainatained inhouse Production time

for the child component.

yes this is maintained but still child component should be available before parent starts.

Dear Nitesh,

when u run optimiser in monthly bucket, you will find receipts of both components at same time as the production time as such is much smaller than the bucket size.

Only if you run optimiser in daily bucket, you will find receipt of parent component after child component.
