How to translate a smartform from english to different language?.

Hi,

Invalid code page error comes whenever ur source and target langauge is not right.

Check that in ur text module source language in en.

If it is en there then put source language EN and target language de(For e.g.)

then click on edit you can give translation there.

sometimes it says code not found ,then u check it u can create new textmodule and then test it as i had faced the smase problem .

Hi,

Your problem can be solved by creating Text module which u can create in smartform transaction screen.

n SE63 we have to translate the texts.

To do the same, go to translation SE63.

Click on Translation -> ABAP Objects -> Other Long Texts

Select Smart Forms name from the list,

i.e below FS Forms and Styles

In the following screen, enter the name of the Smart Form text module name created earlier. Also provide the source language and Target Language to be maintained.

Enter the translation for the text in your required language.

Click on save active.

To check the output , login in the language in which you had translated .

execute the smartforms and watchout the result

hi gowrishankar,

goto se63 then click on translation on top then on R/3 enterprise then on other long text then select forms and styles then expand that particular node and select forms

here give the name of the form in object name .

and give the source and target language .

hope it will be useful to u .

As Janardhan said, go to se63. From top menu choose translation->R/3 enterprise->other long texts. Go to Forms and Styles node and pick SAP smart forms. Give your form's name, sorurce and target language and translate.

Please go to SE63 tcode.

Go to menu>Select Translation>R/3 Enterprise>other long texts>Forms and styles-->Forms SSF

Click on EDIT-->and give other language texts in text editor and save AND ACTIVE.

supose you are maintaining translations from En to DE language...

Then log in in DE > go to se63-> Go to Transalations->Longtext->sapscript--->smartform

there give the object name give source lang as EN and Target lang as DE.

then click edit...u ll get two windows...In the bottome window u have to maintain translations
