J2EE Server failed to startup

Former Member

Hi,

After configuring UME to use LDAP data source, we tried to restart the J2EE engine on the Central Instance but failed. Subsequently, the Dialog Instance went down too.

Here is the error we got:

SapSSLInit failed => https support disabled

We did not configure to use SSL on the J2EE engine prior to that. So, that could be a problem. But, now, there is no way for us to configure SSL anymore, because the J2EE server cannot be started up.

Is there an alternative way to startup the server, or a solution for the error mentioned above?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Hi,

SSL doesn't look like the cause of the issue to me,

Can you check dev and bootstrap traces to see whether anything else could cause restart failures.

Mike,

You're right. I found the cause and am trying to get a solution.

Here is the error found in std_server0.out:

Caused by: com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasource.

PersistenceException: Config file java.io.ByteArrayInputStream@16b3939 doesn't contain

datasource definitions!

Any idea?

Thanks,
