File Adapter to write file to Windows Shared Drive

Former Member

Hello,

We have our XI on linux server.

Using the File to File scenario, I want to write a file to a windows shared drive.

On the windows shared drive, there is no FTP server installed. Other than configuring SAMBA on our XI box to create a mount point to windows server, are there any other options so that I can write my file to windows drive using XI?

Thanks

Isn't the SAPServiceSID, the user on windows? My XI is on linux server.

Also, when I tried giving the //server/<foldername> in my receiver file adapter, it doesn't work.

yes thats the user on Windows same as XI server with same password.

UNC is the network path for shared networks. This will work

I found a thread as well. same as what i said.

Thanks

Hi Laxmi,

One more thing. Linux is case-sensitive. Make sure you use same case(upper/lower) for your folder name.

Hi Laxmi

You can map the network drive to the folder on Windows system. The path to the windows system folder has to be set in receiver adapter.

More over you can try setting up user-id SAPServiceSID on the other server and ensuring that the passwords are the same on both servers.

The target directory of //server/shared_folder will work.

Thanks
