speed up import, running brconnect with more processes?

Hi,

i want to decrease the import time of an WEB AS 640 on Windows 2003 x64 / Oracle 10g Installation.

Unfortunately sapinst starts the brconnect with only 1 process in the update statistics phase, so I killed the brconnect process and started it manuelly with more processes.

this is the brconnect statement i found in the brconnect.log "brconnect -u / -c -o summary -f stats -o SAPSR3"

so I used it this way "brconnect -u / -c -o summary -f stats -o SAPSR3 -p 10"

I want to change the brconnect statement in sapinst. Does anybody know where to find the brconnect statement?

Kind regards

Mathias

I would select "don´t update statistics" during installation, load the system and update the statistics after the installation is finished.

The brconnect call is built by sapinst using keydb.xml, it´s not a full statement that you can "just change".
