Dear Bhavesh,
Just to clarify. As you said <b>Just dont open them simultaneously</b>.
How much time gap I should give to open ID after I have opened IR?
Renjith the problem persists in all work stations.
Anirban i have gone thru teh weblogs ...The only chnage i had to make is " Uncheck the Checkbox - CHECK FOR UPDATES AUTOMATICALLY"

In this you will find APPLICATION FOLDER.
//It did not work
1. Just clear the Applications Folder of JAVA WEB START and then try opening IR and ID. It will again download, etc. It might help.
DID NOT WORK
2. Check the version of JWS you are using. It has to be j2sdk1.4.2 and JWS 1.4.2
YES USING TEH LATEST VERSION
<b>BHavesh : I would like to send a mail with screen shots . If i can have ur mail id u can see the analysis i have done.</b>

And if you open this weblog you see two other weblogs being recomended try them first and then this as a last step.
Hope this helps you,
Anirban.
Thanks a lot for ur prompt answer...
Might sound silly...How can i access the application folder of JWS ?? i am very new to XI ...
I have tried opening the IR and ID one after the other and not simultaneously when the JAR files are being downloaded to your client machine.
It did not work ...:-)

Hi Nilari,
//How can i access the application folder of JWS ?
<b>Start>programs>JAVA WEB START>FILE>PREFERENCES--> ADVANCED</b>
In this you will find APPLICATION FOLDER.
//It did not work
There are 2 solutions which i can suggest. Both are long shots, but do give them a try,
1. Just clear the Applications Folder of JAVA WEB START and then try opening IR and ID. It will again download, etc. It might help.
2. Check the version of JWS you are using. It has to be j2sdk1.4.2 and JWS 1.4.2
Let me know if this helps,

Hi Niladri,
Its possible that the Application Folder of JWS has been clerared and that is why it is asking for the download again.
Just, try opening the IR and ID one after the other and not simultaneously when the JAR files are being downloaded to your client machine and check if it works fine.

Bhavesh
Hi Niladri,
Your ID contains JAVA SWING componenets and that is why Java Web Start is required. Your SLD and RWB does not contain Swing components and so JWS is not needed for it.
Normally, whenever you launch your ID for the first time, all JAR files from the server are loaded to your client machine and thereafter, JAVA WEB START loads the JAR files from the local machine itself.
So, just let the files get downloaded from the server the first time and after that everytime JWS will start, but it will happen faster.

Bhavesh

When i click "Integration Repository" the java web start appears and i am able to log in to XI ...No issues at all.
when i click SLD i can go ahead...
when i click Runtime Workbench i can go ahead ...
BUT when i click "Integration Directory" i simply get message in a new window
"Preparing Java(TM) Web Start Applications
This procedure may take a few minutes
Try later again Close... "
I have tried many times BUT no luck ..

Hi Niladri,
When you start your Integration Directory for the first time, JAVA WEB START has to load all the jar files from the XI server onto your client machine. This will happen only the first time.
Once it gets downloaded, your ID will open. The next time on, JWS will not prompt you for the same again.
So, just accept it the first time and wait till the download from the server completes.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Bhavesh
