Transaction Variant

I created a transaction variant.How can I restrict it to certain users?

Example:

For VA01 transaction I have created a transaction variant.Which will have ''Payment Term' in not modifiable mode.But certain user using VA01 transaction it will show them in display mode for some user it will show them in modifiable mode.How can I do that can any body suggest?

Under the tab Standard Variants, under the Variant Groups you can assign the Users.

Create a Group name for your Transaction Variant and add the users for which you want to Gray-out the field.

Hello,

I have done following steps.

1. created the variant.

2.Activated the variant as standard variant.

3.then assign the variant to the variant group.

4.Then assign the variant group to certain user who is going to access it.

5.Then assign the variant to the order type in VOV8.

But till now all the user can get the affect of the variant.Not only the the certain user whom I assign to the variant group.Please suggest.
