Hi,
what is the difference from the following installations:
1) Installation of SAP NetWeaver Rapid Installer including XSS and BP ERP based on ERP 6.0 SP11. This installation requires an SAP ERP 6.0 SP 11 back-end system, if you want to run the Rapid Configuration afterwards;
2) Installation of SAP NetWeaver Rapid Installer including XSS and BP ERP based on ERP 6.0 EhP 3. This installation requires an SAP ERP 6.0 EhP 3 back-end system, if you want to run the Rapid Configuration afterwards.
Don't understand the following statement: based on ERP 6.0 SP11 and based on ERP 6.0 EhP 3
Best regards
Hi
When we talk about ERP Service Release then we are talking about the ERP Central Component which includes some Business components.
But if we talk about the ERP 6.0 EhP 3 then it includes the ERP 6.0 with SP11 and also the other business components that are delivered as the Enhancement Packages (EhP)
In your query you would get the base component as same ECC 6.0 with SP11 but with the second option you would get some more business components e.g.
SAP ERP Central Component
SAP Utilities
SAP Telecommunications
SAP Media
SAP for Insurance
SAP Public Sector Collection and Disbursement (PSCD)
Student Lifecycle Management (IS-HER-CM)
Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA)
SAP Retail
SAP Catch Weight Management
SAP Discrete Industries and Mill Products
SAP Healthcare/SAP Ambulatory Care Management/i.s.h.med
SAP Oil & Gas
SAP Mining
Defense Forces & Public Security

Option 1: Is to install XSS components and BP (not sure if this stands for Best Practices or Business packages) on top of backend system with ERP 6 with SP 11 installed.
Option 2: Same as option 1 except that XSS and BP on top of ERP 6 with EHP3 (Enhancement Package 3 which includes SP stack 13)
Basically the first one is for systems without Enhancement Packages.
Be carefull this is NOT a netweaver installation as this should be installed on top of an existend backend system
