How do you get error condition to generate alerts

hi,

whenever any messages fail in the inbound or the outbound queues then u can raise the alerts u have to do the alert configuration in the runtime workbench.

over there u can configure alerts for the different components of XI.

While defining the Alert Rule for an Interface we can even specify at what level you want the Alert to be generated.

You have three options :

1) No Restriction ( Alert is generated if any Mapping & AE related Errors)

2) IE Errors

3)AE

Hi,

Alert Frame Work is used to have the system inform you of errors during message processing automatically.When there is some type of failure in the system, XI generates an Alert.It allows an Email, SMS, FAX to be sent to the appropriate person.

There are blogs on this explained in good way. Check Bhavesh blogs on alerts.
