Sync application request expired

Hi,

I am doing a sync scenario, RFC to JDBC. Sometimes I can see messages failed with status cancelled with errors. The error I can see in RWB is " Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: Sync application request expired.. Setting message to status failed."

I have gone through many forums, but did not find solution. Not all the times I can see this error. I am working with XI 3.0.. Please help.....

If the above suggestions don't work, try restarting the XI server.

Hi,

Actually this is in production. Every weekend basis will restart the XI server. This problem occurs only once or twice in a week, not all the times...

Even then if you want , you can increase in production it will just ask for one RFC adapter service to restart and takes only 10-20 sec to restart.

Increase timeout parameter for synchronousCall for RFC adapter in Visual Admin.

Hi,

Increase the timeout in Visual Admin>Services> SAP XI Adapter:RFC--> Synchtimeout to appropriate value like 600000 ms.
